ARTISTIC MAN (2) broke through for his maiden win over 1700m at Granville-St-Pair-sur-Mer last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he looks certain to measure up again. VEGETALE (1) did little and finished 22 lengths from the winner in 14th over 1800m at Compiegne last start, a less impressive effort than her 13th at Longchamp the run before. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. MODERN SPIRIT (5) is a seven-start maiden who could only manage to finish fifth at his latest appearance over 1600m at Compiegne. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for him. WICKBURY (3) built on a nice third two starts back at Marseille-Borely with success over 1350m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
