MERRIMACK (8) was in the firing line all the way and fought on for third last start over 1000m at Chelmsford, making it two minor placings in a row. Has the class to take this out. OUTER EDGE (12) is progressing well this preparation, landing the prize by 0.8 lengths last time out over 1020m at Wolverhampton. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
