HAVANA RUM (4) turned in a decent effort last start when he did his best work late to finish third over 1180m at Carlisle. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. THE GAY BLADE (8) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1400m at Carlisle. Goes up a rung or two but he is up to the task. IRIS DANCER (7) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1200m at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. BELSITO (3) did a little better last start at the second run of the campaign, finishing fourth over 1180m at Carlisle. Capable of further progression.
