LAST SHAMARDAL (3) is a progressive type still in first campaign but off to a great start to career. Placed last time over 1600m at Ripon but prior to that put together two wins on end. Rates strongly and expected to go close. CAVOLO NERO (2) has been thereabouts, most recently when 1.75 lengths from the winner in second over 1400m at Newmarket (Rowley). Strong winning chance over a bit more ground this time. CRIMINAL SHORE (7) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by a nose over 1600m at Ripon. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and he is one of the main chances. VIRTUE PATIENCE (10) broke his maiden last start over 1400m at Lingfield All Weather when resuming, scoring by 0.8 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Robert Havlin who was on board last start. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
