Could only manage to finish fifth last time out over 1400m at Matamata following a minor placing at Pukekohe over 1200m the run prior. Cannot be left out of calculations. COMPULSORY (2) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 1200m at Te Rapa when he was in the firing line all the way. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he good enough to play a major role. HARD ATTACK (10) is a 12-start maiden who returned last time and finished eighth at this track over 1200m, beaten 5.5 lengths. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
