PALS BATTALION (1) was safely held in tougher grade two back then appreciated the easier grade last time when second over 1200m at Thirsk. Rates well in this company and looks a definite winning hope on best form. ROCK OPERA (6) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign when he made late ground and finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1200m at Pontefract. Likely improver with strong prospects. JENEVER (5) turned in a nice run first-up at Newcastle All Weather then wasn't too far away last time over 1000m at Ascot, finishing sixth and beaten 2.5 lengths. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
