Raced just the once last preparation, finishing fourth in a LR (3922m) at Chepstow. One of the major hopes in the race. LION KIRIKOU (6) returned from a 262-day spell with a sound sixth in a 3200m flat race at Le Mans last start. Reliable jumper with two wins and four minor placings from nine starts over the obstacles. Will strip fitter and looms large.
