ILLINOIS (1) returns after a spell of seven months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 2000m at Leopardstown. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. ABSURDE (3) finished third when resuming two runs back at Cheltenham then progressed nicely last time out to score by 4.5 lengths as favourite over 3200m at Plumpton. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is capable of another big performance. AL QAREEM (2) built on a nice third when fresh from a spell two starts back in stakes class at Saint-Cloud with a win as public elect over 2800m in the LR Barry Hills Further Flight Stakes at Nottingham four weeks ago, getting home by a nose. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. MONDO MAN (4) is struggling to break through but has been around the mark lately, last start finishing ninth over 3400m in the G1 Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham. Don't underestimate.
