CRIMSON SPIRIT (1) did his best work late to score by 1.3 lengths last time out over 1400m at Salisbury at the second run this prep. Finds the right race to make it two in succession. GREAT BLASKET (2) turned things around last start and got the job done by half a length after being in the firing line on the bend as public elect over 1600m at Chepstow. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to cope. LOCAL BAY (5) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by a neck over 1620m at this track. Stepping up a level this time but on current form he is one of the chief contenders. BELL SHOT (3) proved too strong two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when fourth over 1400m at Salisbury, beaten 6 lengths. One of the main hopes.
