COMMANDING PRINCE (1) is an honest type who impressed last time, scoring by 2.75 lengths over 1400m at Newcastle All Weather. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Expected to be in the finish. STAR PUPIL (3) scored two runs back then was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish 12th over 1600m at Chelmsford after he had settled well back. Finds a more suitable contest and can bounce back. THAPA VC (4) finished out of the money two starts back then he was always well out of his ground and was beaten 2.25 lengths when fourth over 2040m at this track two weeks ago. Jim Crowley gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. ISLAND BANDIT (2) last appeared when he finished sixth over 1740m at Wolverhampton on January 4. Among the better hopes.
