Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. BACKES (6) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 16 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 1600m at Leipzig, beaten 2 lengths. Will enjoy a drop in class so he can take this out. RUSSIAN SOCHI (10) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a spell on 29/03/2025, finishing fourth and beaten 7 lengths over 1900m at Mannheim. Yet to win first up but generally runs well with two minor placings from three tries. Can make her presence felt. PLANTEUR'S WHISKEY (5) returned from a spell two weeks ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into fourth over 1600m at Hannover. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
