LADY MOANA (5) hit the frame two starts ago at Woodville but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 1400m at Hawera. Nicely placed to turn things around. KAWATIRI (6) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when eighth over 1600m at Hawera. Will strip fitter and is expected to do much better. JACK MORRISON (2) turned in a reasonable run when returning from a break last start over 1600m at Trentham, finishing 4 lengths from the winner in sixth. Has a very strong record at this course with three wins from four starts. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. In the mix.
