ON ALERT (6) was a real eye-catcher last start, coming from the tail over 1700m at this track to finish a neck from the winner in second. Confidence high after that last performance so she should be in the finish again. RED RIBBON (9) again failed to feature last start, finishing 12th and beaten 10 lengths over 1340m at Wanganui. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be tough to stop. AMIRA D'ARGENTO (10) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.75 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1550m at Cambridge Synthetic. Nicely placed to get the prize. CURTSY (7) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish third last time, beaten 3 lengths over 1700m at this track. Blinkers added. Further improvement is likely.
