ENGLISH OAK (12) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Newbury, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Worth noting James Doyle goes aboard. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. GLENEAGLE BAY (26) has been freshened up since a narrow defeat last time over 1400m at this track. Winning chance. NEVER SO BRAVE (3) was prominent at the turn and finished second last time over 1400m at Chester when resuming from a spell, beaten a nose. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. ROI DE FRANCE (1) has been kept fresh since running below his best at the last run five-and-a-half weeks ago, finishing sixth over 1400m at this track. Can do much better.
