LENARD ESS (7) had been racing well and again performed impressively at the most recent appearance, making up plenty of ground but finding one better over 2150m at Bendigo. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out. OZZIE CORKA (9) drew wide last start and was safely held, beaten 6 metres into sixth at Melton over 1720m. Has the class to take care of this field. LORIMERMAJOR (11) didn't do a bad job when fifth over 1720m at Melton last time out. WICHITA KANSAS (8) is in the mix after turning in a better effort last start to finish third at Ballarat over 2200m.
