FAVOURED SON (4) was thereabouts last time out when second at Narrogin over 1100m, beaten a nose. That run should have him rock-hard fit now. Yet to find winning form this prep but has been thereabouts with two placings from three starts. Should prove tough to beat. HEAVY METAL (1) was well held in the Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic won by Cashel Palace over 1400m at Ascot at her last appearance five months ago. Finds a suitable assignment and can play a big role. STAR HOSTESS (8) has not raced since her debut on November 20 over 1000m at Belmont Park when she finished ninth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Plenty of scope for improvement. SAUCISSON (5) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when fourth over 1100m at Narrogin a week-and-a-half ago. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish.
