Nicely placed to make amends. ALBANIAN ICON (10) has a moderate winning strike-rate but impressed when returning from a break last time at Ararat, finishing third and only 1.4 lengths from the winner at the end of 1300m. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SLEEPER (1) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1607m at Kilmore, beaten 4.5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Fitter and sure to run well. MISS TRAMELL (5) showed early speed from a good draw last time and raced on speed before drawing clear to score by 1.5 lengths over 1600m at Moe. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and must be respected.
