CHALICE WELL (5) scored when resuming two starts ago then raced on the pace but found a few better late and was beaten 2.75 lengths over 1100m at Ipswich. Among the leading chances. FREELAND (1) was popular when resuming last start over 1100m at Ipswich but finished fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Has a decent second up record. Among the winning hopes. NIGHTCAPPED (3) settled well back before making steady ground in the straight last start to finish fourth, beaten 1.2 lengths, over this journey at Beaudesert. Can feature in the finish.
