RUSSIAN METEOR (3) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when ninth, beaten 4.5 lengths, at Flemington over 1400m. Has the class to put the recent run behind him. BOLTSAVER (6) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1400m at Warrnambool. Solid prospects. IMPENDING LINK (7) was below his best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 3.5 lengths over 1400m at Flemington. Won't find this as tough so he is one of the main contenders. HOWDY (19) is putting together some solid results. Finished third at Pakenham two starts back then got the job done by a nose last time out over 1511m at Sale. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
