GRAND SAGE (4) had been racing consistently with three minor placings on end prior to finishing fifth most recently over 1600m at Moe. Back to the track at which he finished third two runs back. Deserves a win and can improve sharply. PERFECT GOLD (7) was beaten 2.25 lengths into sixth over 1600m at Bendigo last time out. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
