RAMBLING (10) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a ninth over 1200m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Tuned up with a fourth in a recent trial at Cranbourne. Nicely placed and expected to go well. ANIMAL (2) drifted back early on debut last start then worked home strongly to finish 3.5 lengths away in third at Pakenham over 1000m. Must be included among the main hopes. RHIA (11) is back after a break of four months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at her latest appearance over 1400m at Sandown-Lakeside. Has trialled well leading into this. Can kick off with a bold showing.
