SEYMOUR STARS (7) was in control from the outset to score as favourite on debut over 1000m at Grafton six months ago and has not raced since. Has since been kept ticking over with a Grafton trial win. Will come on following that run and looks tough to hold out again. CONFEDERATE LADY (6) opened this campaign last start with a third, beaten 0.7 lengths, over 1000m at Ballina. Looks to have an edge on most of these. ROBARGE (5) had been in sound form but last start she was safely held when sixth over 1000m at Wyong. Emily Farr has a solid record aboard this seven-year-old mare so sharp improvement will not surprise. EGOTISTIC (4) drifted well back from the inside draw last time before winding up strongly and finishing fourth over 1000m at this track. Can feature in the finish.
