IN THE DARKNESS (1) bounced straight to the front from the rails draw last start and led for home before finishing third over 1500m at Ballarat Synthetic. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. PRICILLA'S CHOICE (3) ran on strongly only to just miss as favourite last start over 1550m at Bordertown. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Finds a tougher race but she has the talent to test this line-up. PIWHANE (6) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 1200m at Clare, finishing fourth and beaten 1.5 lengths when she did her best work late. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within her grasp. COVERT WITNESS (4) finished second at this track two runs back but was less effective last time over 1400m at Murray Bridge, finishing 6 lengths back in tenth. Nicely placed to turn things around.
