CANTRIX (4) launched her career with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when second over 1200m at Belmont Park, beaten 2 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. SHOWLAS (5) has not been sighted since she finished second over 1600m at Pinjarra on December 13. Looks to have an edge on most of these. QUICK COOKIE (8) broke her maiden last start over 1300m at Kalgoorlie, scoring by one length. Victoria Corver was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher but she cannot be underestimated. BIG KARRI (1) showed good early dash and led for much of the way before weakening out of it when 7 lengths away in 11th over 1400m at Pinjarra. Can give backers a sight.
