SANTANOVA (9) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when first-up as favourite last start over 1000m at Bunbury. Should tighten right up following that outing. Hard to beat in this suitable race. LET'S TALK (3) found a couple marginally better last start over 1000m at Pinjarra Scarpside after being prominent throughout. Won't find this as tough so he is sure to prove hard to beat. SCENIC GEORGE (5) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1000m at this track, scoring by a long neck. Winning rider Brad Parnham stays aboard and he should be in the finish again. MAGIC TO EXCEED (2) gave a sight latest over 1400m at Ascot but could manage only fourth. Will be looking to cross and steady the tempo. Has the ability and merits respect.
