NULKABA STAR (4) held on well to finish third last time out over 1300m at Scone after leading for much of the way. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. SIR TUA (8) turned in a moderate effort on debut last start when seventh at Warwick Farm over 1000m, beaten 4 lengths. Has upside and deserves another chance. PERASTA (6) finished ninth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 900m at Newcastle, beaten 4.5 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Has the talent to figure prominently. SMASHING NOVA (9) is a first-starter by Brave Smash from Al Nova who has produced a high percentage of winners-to-runners. Was in the placings in his most recent trial at Beaumont (Newcastle). Importantly has a nice gate and is certainly worth considering.
