GREAT MAXIMUS (9) turned in a handy position before finishing third last start over 1200m at Morphettville, beaten a long neck. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. LET'S GET DOWN (6) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by 1.5 lengths over 1250m at Morphettville Parks. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. KARACASU (1) missed the frame in town lastest but not disgraced when fifth in the G3 John Hawkes (McKay) Stakes at Morphettville and does tend to run well here. Will find this easier. One to consider. BALLON D'OR (8) has not won for a long while. Last raced on May 10 when beaten 1.5 lengths into sixth at Morphettville over 1200m. Suitably placed so anticipating a bold performance.
