FERAGO (1) gave away a considerable start over 2350m in the LR Warrnambool Cup last time before hitting the line well to finish fourth. Looks suited here and rates a major contender. ANY LUCK (5) made progress last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 2000m at Casterton. Finds an easier assignment and can take the next step and salute. GOLIOTUS (4) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time over 1800m at Caulfield Heath. Melissa Julius gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. Will enjoy the drop in grade so he is sure to prove hard to beat. ASTRADEEL (2) finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1700m at Warrnambool when he worked home well, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will benefit from that outing. Capable of another bold effort.
