MOMENTICE (9) landed her maiden success over this course and distance last time, scoring by 5 lengths. Has a wide gate to overcome but she is likely to feature in the finish again. BEFORE THE WAR (1) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Echuca two starts back then got the job done by a neck last time out over 1100m at Echuca. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. BRENLYN'S TROOPER (7) bounced straight into a handy position from the inside draw before finishing fourth last time out over 1300m at Wangaratta. Must be included among the main hopes. CRIMOSA (17) last appeared on April 24 when a good sixth over 1000m at Albury, beaten 2.75 lengths. One to consider.
