COVERT THINKING (6) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by 0.8 lengths over 1600m at this track. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and she is a solid top-three hope. SPECIAL DAY (9) missed the placings two runs back then was never in contention last start when 25 lengths away in ninth over 1870m at Newcastle. Worth noting Ashley Morgan goes aboard. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. HARD PICK (7) turned things around last start and landed the prize by 2.5 lengths over 1600m at Hawkesbury. Likely to be there at the finish again.
