CANADIAN EXPRESS (3) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Beaudesert. Not as effective last time out when 11th over 2060m at Doomben, beaten 6 lengths. Has the talent to take care of this field. MAGADAN (13) finished 8 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 1900m at Ballina, an improvement on his eighth at Toowoomba the run before. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. TALAKAI (7) gave away a start then stormed home to win over 1800m at Sunshine Coast last time out. Should be winding up late again. MINGARDOS (9) was beaten 5 lengths into eighth over 2060m at Doomben last time out. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
