PALAWA KANI (4) turned in a fine effort to win by a nose at today's course and distance when resuming from a layoff last time out. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MISS DE BLAAS (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1000m at Toowoomba, beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth after being prominent at the turn. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. ONE 'N' ONLY (2) was prominent at the turn and finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 860m at this track, beaten 0.6 lengths. Will benefit from that outing. Placed to advantage so expect another bold run.
