MEGA MIC (3) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when prominent at the turn before winding up in third over 1400m at Launceston, beaten 1.75 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. SPEED ROCK (8) was always well out of his ground when 45 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1400m at Hobart last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Launceston the run before. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. BERSERKER (4) was out of the money first-up but has since placed two on end and looks close to a win, the latest effort a third over 1400m at Hobart. Jabez Johnstone stays aboard and although yet to win has been in the money on two occasions. Not to be discounted.
