MONTE MAXIMUS (2) was in the money two starts back at Port Macquarie but couldn't back it up last time when ninth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at Port Macquarie over 1200m. Likely improver with strong prospects. RYLOV (4) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing 11th at Gold Coast Poly over 1540m. Best figures measure up nicely. One of the chances.
