NAITANUI (4) was well fancied on debut last start and was not far off the mark, finishing second and beaten 2.5 lengths over 1125m at Geelong. Big chance based on that effort. KILMER (3) showed promise on debut last time out when in the money over 1100m at Ararat, beaten 1.1 lengths. Likely improver so he shouldn't be a maiden for long. ALVIN (1) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1400m at Bendigo. Going well and has winning claims. GUNADO (2) is a four-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1125m at Geelong. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
