Drawn out but with clear running expected to go close. XIRA BALE (2) missed the frame latest when sixth at Goulburn (25.35) but was a winner four back in the second best time of the program. Yet to win here but has run some good races. Expected to run well. STAPLETON (4) is rarely far away but tends to find one better, placing 17 from 34 starts. Has hit the frame at his last three runs, the latest finishing third (33.08) at Temora. Good beginner but will need a little luck from a middle draw. Will give a great sight again. LONE SHARK (5) cannot be dismissed although new to this distance.
