GALLOWS POLE (9) turned things around last start and scored by one length as public elect over 1400m at La Plata. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. PALMERA ISLAND (2) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 11 lengths over 1300m at Rosario. Nicely placed to make amends.
