ZOURIPPER (3) returned from a spell last start with a strong win by 2.25 lengths over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Open to plenty of improvement and will be a tough nut to crack again. AFRICAN DAISY (5) sat on the pace last start until tiring to finish 12th, beaten 5 lengths, over 1300m at this circuit. Bold showing expected with the blinkers added. CLOSE ENCOUNTER (10) got home by just a head at his latest appearance over 1100m at Nowra. Drops significantly in the weights so he shapes as one to consider. MAILI (11) last appeared when seventh over 1250m at Canterbury eight months ago. Has to be respected.
