On top of that, betr layers exclusive promotions across racing and sport, pinned markets for faster navigation, and a rapid withdrawal process.

02 Sports & markets
The sports and racing betting markets as well as multi & bet types you can bet on with betr.
What sports and racing codes can I bet on with betr?
betr covers Australian and international horse racing, greyhound racing and harness racing, alongside AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL, EPL, Cricket, Tennis, MLB, Soccer, MMA, UFC and more. Form and markets are built out for each code, not just headline sports.
What is a Same Game Multi (SGM) on betr?
A Same Game Multi lets you combine several outcomes from one game into a single bet for bigger odds. On betr, SGM comes with more markets, a quicker bet-builder, and a live bet tracker attached, and it's available on AFL, NRL, NFL, NBA, MLB, EPL, Cricket and more.
What is a Same Race Multi?
A Same Race Multi combines two or more runners from the same race — to win, or to finish inside the top 2, top 3 or top 4 — into one bet for bigger odds than betting each runner separately.
What are StatWars player props?
StatWars is betr's exclusive player props format, built around head-to-head player matchups rather than standard individual props. It's designed to get more out of a bet than a simple over/under on one player's stats.
Does betr cover greyhound and harness racing, not just horses?
Yes. Alongside Australian and international horse racing, betr carries full markets, form and Blackbook for thoroughbred, greyhound and harness racing. We have all the bet types available including win, place, exotics and Same Race Multi.
What is Cash Out?
Cash Out lets you settle a bet before the event has finished, taking a return based on how the bet is tracking. If your multi has four legs home and one to go, Cash Out gives you the option of banking a return rather than sweating the last leg. The value moves with the event, so it rises as your bet firms and falls as it drifts. It's available on selected racing and sports singles and fixed odds multis, and on some live events.
Why is my Same Game Multi price different to a normal multi?
Because the legs are related. A standard multi multiplies the odds of independent events. In a Same Game Multi the selections come from the same match, so they influence each other — back a team to win by 40 points and back their star forward to kick four goals, and those two outcomes are correlated, since one makes the other more likely. The price is recalculated to reflect how the legs interact, so a Same Game Multi can come out shorter or longer than a straight multiplication of the same odds.
What is a quaddie?
A quaddie is a racing exotic where you pick the winner of four nominated races at a meeting, usually the last four. You can take multiple runners in each leg, and Flexi Betting lets you take a percentage of the full outlay so a large combination stays affordable.
What is the difference between fixed odds and tote betting?
Fixed odds lock in your price at the moment your bet is placed. If you back a runner at $6.00 and it drifts to $8.00, you're still settled at $6.00. Tote betting, also called pari-mutuel, pools every bet on a race together, deducts a commission and divides the remainder among the winning tickets, so the dividend isn't known until the race is settled. betr offers both on Australian racing.
03 Betr App features
The tools inside the betr app that speed up how you find, track and place a bet.
Can I watch horse racing live on the betr app?
Yes — betr streams Sky Racing 1 & 2 live, directly in the app, so you can watch a race and have a bet open in the same screen instead of switching between a TV feed and your phone. It also has race replays which allows you to watch replays of races to help you find a winner.
What is betr's Live Tracker?
Live Tracker is a home screen widget that follows your Same Game Multis and racing bets without you having to open the app. It was first-to-market at betr and is built for glancing at your bets, not digging through a bet history.
What's the difference between Bet Tracker and Live Tracker?
Bet Tracker gives you real-time, in-app updates on a pending Same Game Multi as the match unfolds. Live Tracker takes that same information and puts it on your phone's home screen, so you can follow it without opening betr at all.
What are Pinned Markets on betr?
Pinned Markets let you pin a favourite market — like Anytime Tryscorer, or a specific AFL disposal market — to the top of an event page, so it's the first thing you see instead of scrolling to find it every time.
What is the betr Blackbook?
Blackbook lets you add favourite horses, greyhounds or harness runners to a personal watchlist and get an SMS notification whenever one of them is running next, so you don't have to check the race fields yourself.

No. Credit cards, and digital wallets funded by a credit card, are no longer an accepted deposit method at any Australian licensed bookmaker. This is a legislative change rather than a betr policy. Debit cards, PayID, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and bank transfer are all available.
Are there fees on deposits or withdrawals?
betr doesn't charge fees on deposits or withdrawals. Your own bank or payment provider may apply its own charges.
How do I contact betr customer support?
betr's customer service team can be reached by phone or email for any account and is Australian based – any bet or deposit query is handled by our dedicated team. Support is handled by an experienced in-house team rather than a generic script.

What is online betting and how does it work?
Online betting allows you to place wagers on sporting events and horse racing through a licensed bookmaker's website or mobile app.
The process is straightforward:
- Create an account.
- Verify your identity.
- Deposit funds.
- Select an event or market.
- Choose your stake.
- Place your bet.
If your selection wins, your return is paid according to the odds when your bet was placed.
You can bet before an event begins or, for eligible markets, place bets while the event is in progress through live betting.
Australian bookmakers like betr offer markets across AFL, NRL, horse racing, international sports and many other competitions, with responsible gambling tools available to help customers stay in control.
How do betting odds work?
Betting odds represent the likelihood of an outcome and determine how much you could win from a successful bet.
Australian bookmakers primarily use decimal odds.
For example:
- Odds of 2.00 return $20 from a $10 stake.
- Odds of 5.00 return $50 from a $10 stake.
Higher odds generally indicate a less likely outcome, while lower odds indicate a stronger favourite.
Odds change based on factors such as betting activity, team news, injuries and market demand.
Understanding odds helps bettors compare value across bookmakers and make more informed betting decisions.
How do Same Game Multis work?
A Same Game Multi combines multiple selections from a single sporting event into one bet.
For example, in an AFL match you might select:
- Team A to win
- A player to kick two or more goals
- Total points over 160.5
All selections must be correct for the bet to win.
Because multiple outcomes are combined, the potential return is generally higher than placing each bet individually. However, the risk also increases because every selection must be successful.
Same Game Multis are available across many sports including AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL, EPL, Cricket, Baseball & other popular sports across betr.
What is a Bonus Bet and how does it work?
A Bonus Bet is promotional betting credit offered by a bookmaker as part of an eligible promotion.
Unlike cash, Bonus Bets usually:
- Cannot be withdrawn directly
- Must be used to place eligible bets
- Have an expiry date
- May be subject to promotional terms and conditions
If your Bonus Bet wins, you'll generally receive the winnings, but not the Bonus Bet stake itself.
Different promotions have different eligibility requirements, so it's important to read the applicable terms before using a Bonus Bet.
How do multi bets work?
A multi bet combines two or more separate selections into a single wager.
For example:
- AFL Team A to win
- NRL Team B to win
- Horse C to place
Every selection must be successful for the multi bet to win.
Because the odds for each selection are multiplied together, multi bets can offer significantly larger potential returns than single bets. However, adding more selections also increases the difficulty of winning.
Multi bets are one of the most popular bet types across Australian sports and racing.
What are the different types of sports bets?

Bets can be placed before kick-off or, where available, during the match through live betting markets.
NRL is one of Australia's most popular betting sports, with markets available across every regular season and finals game.
How do live betting and in-play betting work?
Live betting, also known as in-play betting, allows eligible customers to place bets after an event has started.
As the game unfolds:
- Odds change in real time.
- New betting markets may become available.
- Markets may suspend briefly during significant moments before reopening.
Available live markets vary depending on the sport and applicable Australian regulations.
Live betting enables bettors to respond to changing momentum, player performance and match conditions while the event is taking place.
What is an each-way bet?
An each-way bet combines two bets in one:
- A Win bet
- A Place bet
Your total stake is divided equally between both components.
If your selection wins, both the Win and Place bets are paid.
If your selection finishes in a qualifying place without winning, only the Place portion pays out.
Each-way betting is commonly used in horse racing because it offers a chance of a return even if your selection doesn't finish first.
How do betting promotions work?

Each promotion has its own terms and conditions, including:

- Minimum odds

07 Legal & licensing
Who can bet, who regulates betr, and why we ask for your ID.
Is online betting legal in Australia?
Yes. Betting online with a licensed Australian bookmaker is legal for anyone aged 18 or over. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 sets the rules, permitting licensed operators to offer online wagering on sport and racing. Betting with an offshore operator that isn't licensed in Australia is a different matter, and it leaves you with no Australian regulator to turn to.
Is betr licensed?
Yes. betr operates under a Tasmanian Gambling Licence and is regulated by the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission. betr is an Australian company, listed on the ASX under the ticker BBT, and our wagering systems can be scrutinised by the regulator in real time.
How old do I need to be to bet with betr?
You must be 18 or over. Every licensed Australian bookmaker is required to verify a customer's date of birth before they can place a bet, and betr takes active steps to keep minors off the platform.
Why do I have to verify my identity?
Australian law requires bookmakers to verify who a customer is before they can bet. You supply your name, date of birth and address at sign-up and we check those details electronically. Most customers are verified in seconds. If the electronic check can't match your details, we'll ask you to supply a document such as a driver's licence or passport.
08 Responsible gambling
The tools in your account, how they work, and where to get help.
Can I set a deposit limit?
Yes. You can set a deposit limit for a 24 hour, 7 day, 14 day or 30 day period in your account. Once you reach the limit, no further deposits are accepted until the period rolls over. A new limit, or a tighter one, takes effect immediately.
Can I set a loss limit?
Yes. A loss limit caps your net loss over a 24 hour, 7 day, 14 day or 30 day period. If you start the week with $500 and set a $100 weekly loss limit, betting stops once your balance reaches $400.
Why is there a delay when I remove a limit?
Making a limit tighter takes effect straight away. Making a limit less restrictive, or removing it altogether, is subject to a seven day cooling off period. The delay is deliberate — it exists so that a limit can't be lifted in the heat of the moment.
How do I take a break from betting?
You can take a break from betr for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. It's found under My Details, in the Take a Break or Close Account section. During that period you won't be able to log in or make changes to your account. You can also ask our customer service team to apply it for you.

09 Bet settlement
What happens when a bet doesn't run as expected.
What happens if my bet is void?
A void bet is refunded in full. This typically happens when an event is abandoned or a market has been settled incorrectly.
What happens if my horse is scratched?
If you backed the runner at fixed odds before final acceptances, the bet is lost. If you backed it after final acceptances, your stake is refunded, though deductions may be applied to the remaining live bets in that race to account for the scratched runner. Deductions are set by the rules of racing, not by betr.
What happens if a match is postponed?
Markets are held or voided in line with the rules for that competition. If a fixture is rescheduled and played within the qualifying period, bets generally stand. If it's abandoned or falls outside that period, bets are voided and stakes refunded.
