Unplaced two back on the flat then filled a minor prize last time in The Australian Steeple (3900m) at Sandown-Lakeside, beaten 6 lengths. Certainly worth another chance in this suitable contest. BLANDFORD LAD (2) finished fourth the start before last on the flat at Werribee then finished fifth last time in The Australian Steeple (3900m) at Sandown-Lakeside. Capable of far better. RAISE THE NOTE (7) did a reasonable job when she finished third in a hurdle (3200m) at Warrnambool two runs back. Held that form last time when 3.5 lengths away in second in a hurdle (3500m) at Casterton. Will be a force once again.
