WARPAINTED (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.9 lengths from the winner in third over 1600m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. GREY LAD (4) turned in a strong performance first-up when in the money at Wodonga but disappointed last time when eighth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at Albury over 1500m. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. DEEBAA (16) got off the mark over 1400m at Albury last start, scoring by a neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Harder this time but still one to consider. NEWYORK MISSILE (17) proved too strong two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when tenth over 1600m at this track, beaten 8 lengths. Should be thereabouts.
