Well-placed and is expected to prove hard to beat. CLOSE TALKER (7) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth beaten 1.5 lengths over 1300m at Pinjarra Scarpside. Bold showing expected with the blinkers added. MASAMUNE (1) produced a solid effort last time when second over 1000m at Belmont Park. The extra journey should play into his hands. Among the winning hopes. SURE THING (4) scored last start at Kalgoorlie to make it five wins from seven starts this campaign. Likely to go forward from a nice draw. Sure to be thereabouts.
