LIGHTNING GOLD (2) hasn't raced since finishing eighth over 1200m at Ascot on January 22 and has since switched trainers. Goes well when resuming from a spell, including two minor placings from four starts. Very hard to beat. PLATO OR PLOMO (1) last appeared when he finished ninth over 1000m at Pinjarra Scarpside on January 12. Has switched to the Darryn Pateman yard. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. TRA LA LA (7) did little and finished 9 lengths from the winner in tenth over 1100m at Narrogin last start, a less impressive effort than her eighth at Pinjarra the run before. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. MAKE YOUR POINT (6) is resuming from a spell of four-and-a-half months and having his first run for the Jody Mc Laughlin yard. Was in the placings when first-up from a spell last campaign at Belmont Park over 1000m. Ran seventh in a trial at Lark Hill over 950m recently.
