Our best bet for Thursday’s AFL clash between Collingwood and Geelong is the Cats -5.5 \/ De Goey 20+ Disposals \/ Mannagh 1+ Goals \/ Dempsey 1+ Goals Same Game Multi at $4.60, with the Cats winning seven of their last nine against the Pies and boasting an impressive record in MCG night games.<\/p>\n

What a Thursday night football contest we have, with the red-hot Pies taking on Geelong who continue to fight despite key injuries.<\/p>\n

Collingwood Magpies vs Geelong Cats<\/h2>\n

Both the Pies and Cats have been written off at various stages over the last two months, but both teams enter Thursday night football in outstanding form.<\/p>\n

Collingwood returns from Adelaide Oval winning their last six games, while the Cats have produced two important wins over the last fortnight, in particular their win over Melbourne last week without Max Holmes and Jeremy Cameron.<\/p>\n

Which team will make their push into the top-six?<\/p>\n

Leg 1 – Geelong -5.5<\/h3>\n

Collingwood’s record against the Crows is outstanding, and once again they knocked them off at Adelaide Oval last week, but it’s the opposite against Geelong.<\/p>\n

The Cats have won seven of their last nine against Collingwood, covering the line in their last three meetings.<\/p>\n

Geelong’s recent record in night games at the MCG is very impressive, winning seven of their last eight while covering in all seven of those wins.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, it hasn’t been great for Collingwood, covering in just four of their last ten MCG night games, with a win-loss record of five wins, four losses and a draw.<\/p>\n

Leg 2 – Jordan De Goey 20+ Disposals<\/h3>\n

Nick Daicos will get tagged by Mullin in this, so I think Craig McRae re-injects De Goey into the middle more frequently for the Magpies to compensate.<\/p>\n

De Goey has played mainly as a forward the last fortnight with very few centre bounce attendances, but has still managed to hit 20+ disposals in both games. When the two teams met earlier in the year, De Goey finished with 30 disposals, and has hit 20+ in four of their last five meetings with Geelong.<\/p>\n

With Schultz also returning for Collingwood to pick up that half forward role, expect the Magpies to move the magnets with De Goey getting more mid time.<\/p>\n

Leg 3 – Shaun Mannagh 1+ Goals<\/h3>\n

Has played well against the Magpies across his short career.<\/p>\n

Shaun Mannagh averages two goals in his three games against Collingwood, including kicking three goals when they met earlier in the year.<\/p>\n

Mannagh has kicked at least one goal in 10 of his last 13 games this season, including the last three, and the Cats will need him to hit the scoreboard in this with Dangerfield and Cameron out of their forward line.<\/p>\n

Leg 4 – Ollie Dempsey 1+ Goals<\/h3>\n

Another who has played well against the Pies, and has played well at the MCG across his career.<\/p>\n

Dempsey has kicked at least one goal in his last three games against Collingwood, but it’s his MCG record which is even more impressive.<\/p>\n

From his last 17 games at the ground, Dempsey has kicked at least one goal in 15 of them.<\/p>\n
