Our best bet across Friday’s AFL double header is the Melbourne / Miers 20+ Disposals / Clark 20+ Disposals / Francou 15+ Disposals Multi at $5.67, with the Demons 9-0 at the MCG this season and Jordan Clark averaging 25.1 disposals at Optus Stadium across his last 21 games.

The Friday night double header is back, but the big game is at the MCG when the Demons take on a Geelong outfit missing some serious firepower.

Melbourne Demons vs Geelong Cats

The Cats have been hit with some big injuries in recent weeks, and will head to the MCG as underdogs against the Demons.

The ‘G has been a fortress for Steven King’s men this season. Can they maintain their perfect record?

Leg 1 – Melbourne

The Dees have dominated at the MCG this season, and they get a big opportunity against a depleted Geelong outfit.

Melbourne are 9-0 at the ‘G this season, covering in all nine games, and dating back to last season they have covered the line in 14 of their last 16 at the ground.

Covering the line in their last four games against the Cats at the MCG, I think they’ll be too strong led by Gawn in the middle against a team missing Max Holmes and Jeremy Cameron.

Leg 2 – Gryan Miers 20+ Disposals

Miers returned to the Cats lineup last week with great success, finishing with 22 disposals and three goals.

The high half forward is averaging 22.7 disposals from his ten games this season, hitting 20+ disposals in 80% of them.

Miers has played well at the MCG in recent times, averaging 21.3 disposals from his last 19 games there and hitting 20+ in 15 of them.

Fremantle Dockers vs West Coast Eagles

Another rendition of the Derby, with Fremantle heavy favourites once again against this young West Coast outfit.

The Dockers won this meeting convincingly earlier in the season. Will we see something similar this time round?

Leg 3 – Jordan Clark 20+ Disposals

I do think Jordan Clark probably receives some attention from Milan Murdock, but between kick outs and overlap run he should still find 20+ disposals in this.

Clark has a great record against the Eagles, averaging 23.7 disposals from his last six games against West Coast and hitting 20+ disposals in five of them, while recording 27 disposals when they met earlier in the season.

He averages 25.1 disposals in his last 21 games at Optus Stadium, hitting 20+ in 18 of those games.

Leg 4 – Oliver Francou 15+ Disposals

The mid-season recruit appears to be a bit of a ball magnet like his old man.

Oliver Francou, son of Josh, has started his AFL career averaging 18.3 disposals per game and hitting 15+ disposals in all three games.

Francou has pinch hit at centre bounce for the Eagles, and last week had a career-high 22 disposals in their loss to the Lions as a contested ball winner for West Coast.

Can’t see him slowing down.
