Giron has started the season in strong form, making the semi-finals in both Auckland and Hong Kong. He also defeated Tien when they met on clay in their only matchup last year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tien has improved significantly since then, but it\u2019s hard to see this being decided in straight sets.<\/span><\/p>\n

LEG 3 \u2013 Aleksandar Vukic<\/span><\/h3>\n

Vukic played well here 12 months ago, pushing Jack Draper deep into a third-round battle and defeating Sebastian Korda in the second round.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also impressed in Adelaide in the lead-up, reaching the quarter-finals, while his Argentine opponent has never appeared in the main draw of a hard-court major \u2014 a tough initiation in front of a partisan Australian crowd.<\/span><\/p>\n

LEG 4 \u2013 Jessica Bouzas Maneiro H2H<\/span><\/h3>\n

Bouzas Maneiro stunned Coco Gauff at the United Cup before delivering two underwhelming performances, but the world number 40\u2019s best tennis is high quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

She faces Storm Hunter, ranked 363 in the world and in the twilight of her career. Since the start of 2022, the Australian is 1\u201313 against top-50 opponents, and despite home crowd support, it\u2019s difficult to see her getting past the Spaniard.<\/span><\/p>\n
