Off the back of the huge NBA Cup Final in Vegas, it’s back to reality with two games on Thursday.

The Cavs and Bulls are both horribly out of form and desperate for a win, while the Timberwolves host the resurgent Memphis Grizzlies.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Chicago Bulls

Both Cleveland and Chicago started the season strongly, but things have turned pear-shaped in recent weeks.

Cleveland has won just three of their last nine to sit at 15-12, while the Bulls look every bit the worst team in the NBA right now, winning just one of their last nine.

This is a vital contest for both teams.

LEG 1 – Jaylon Tyson Over 12.5 Points

In what has been a disappointing season to date for the Cavs, Jaylon Tyson has been a shining light in his second year.

Tyson is averaging 13.1 points per game this season, which jumps to 17.4 across his last seven outings.

Although Tyson came off the bench last start against the Hornets, he still logged starter-level minutes with 35, including overtime. With Sam Merrill and Evan Mobley both out, he should once again see 30+ minutes here.

When playing 28+ minutes this season, Tyson is averaging 15.9 points across 12 games and has covered this line in 75% of them.

LEG 2 – Lonzo Ball 4+ Rebounds

Another player whose minutes should build given those absences, Ball has been solid for Cleveland this season.

He played a surprising 32 minutes against Charlotte last start and is likely to see at least 25 minutes again in this contest against his old team, Chicago.

Lonzo is averaging 4.9 rebounds across his last 13 games, hitting 4+ boards in 10 of those. He should be right in the mix again.

LEG 3 – Nikola Vucevic 6+ Rebounds

Vucevic has been super inconsistent this season and, in all honesty, looks like a player trying to find his way out of Chicago.

That said, this rebound line is one of the lowest we’ve seen for him in more than five years.

Vuc is averaging 8.5 rebounds across his last 13 games, hitting 6+ in 10 of those. With Cleveland conceding rebounds to centres at a rate nine percent above league average over the past month, it would be a surprise if he didn’t clear this number.

SAME GAME MULTI

Tyson Over 12.5 Points / Ball 4+ Rebounds / Vucevic 6+ Rebounds = $3.40

VALUE BET

Jaylon Tyson Double Double @ $6.00

Tyson rebounds extremely well for his size, and without Evan Mobley there should be plenty of opportunities on offer for Cleveland.

He is averaging nine rebounds per game across his last six outings, including three double-doubles.

Most encouragingly, last start without Mobley it was Tyson coming off the bench who led the team with 13 rebounds. This is a strong price given his recent form.
