The game of the week takes us to Philadelphia as the Eagles clash with the Lions in a battle between two of the best teams in the NFL. With Hurts and Goff going head to head, this should be an instant classic. Here are my tips and predictions for this one.

The Lions have gone L-W-L-W in their last 4 games so they’ll be looking to get some consistency going when they meet the Eagles in Philly in Monday’s primetime matchup. Last week, they punished the Commanders 44-22 as their offence was on simply on fire. QB Jared Goff finished with 320 yards and 3 TD’s. Jahmyr Gibbs led the running game with 142 yards on 15 carries and 2 TD’s as the Lions piled on 226 total rushing yards. They now rank 6th in the NFL for rushing yards per game and 2nd for points scored (31.4).

The Eagles are back on primetime after a 10-7 slugfest in Green Bay. The Eagles D kept the Packers scoreless for 3 quarters and that will be a key matchup with this Lions attack. Jalen Hurts comes off 4 TD passes in his last home against the Giants and Philly have an impressive 14-1 record in their last 15 home games.

First up, the total points should be a good target in this matchup between two of the best scoring teams in the NFL. The Over total also has a nice record when these two sides meet, it’s a perfect 9-0 in the last 9 meetings. Philly are 5-2 against the Over in their last 7 as well and Detroit has a 4-1 Overs record when they play in Philly.

Gibbs comes off 3 total touchdowns last week – 2 on the ground and 1 in the passing game. So he looks like your best bet to punch one in on Monday. The Eagles also gave up a rushing TD last week and Gibbs has scored 5 TD’s in his last 3 games.

Goff threw for 320 yards, which is his 2nd highest passing yards total this season. Overall, he’s beaten the 250+ mark in 4 games this season and that includes back to back games – 284 against the Vikings and 320 against the Commanders.
