Both the Chiefs and Giants are 0-2. Who will get their first win of the season this Monday morning? Here are my NFL tips for this one.

After losing the Super Bowl last season, 2025 hasn’t been kind to the Chiefs either. They’re 0-2 and searching for answers. Their offence has been well below its best, scoring just 19 pts per game (24th in the NFL). So this is a massive road game before they have to take on the Ravens next week. The Giants have also had a tough start to the season. They’ve played both games on the road against divisional foes, losing 21-6 against the Commanders and a brutal OT loss against the Cowboys (40-37). But Russ Wilson passing for 450 yards and 3 TDs against the Boys will give them hope of turning it around.

The Chiefs have played in 2 close losses against potential playoff teams and I think they get their first dub of the season in New York. The Giants have a horrible record in home openers, going 1-12 ATS in their last 13. In their last 14 games, they’ve won just 1 game and 3-11 ATS. It’s not much better at home, they’ve lost 8 of their last 9 at MetLife Stadium. The issue will likely be their defence, which has been tormented by the Commanders and Cowboys. Despite an 0-2 record, the Chiefs have Mahomes to carry them to victory (literally) and top WR Xavier Worthy should be back from injury after missing last week.

The Under has a perfect 11-0 record in the Giants last 11 home openers. Both sides are averaging around 20 pts per game so I think this total of 51.5 pts should be a safe bet.

In Mahomes last 7 games, he’s got a 5-2 record of passing for over 225 yards. That includes 3 playoff games and the SB last season. This season, he beat that mark in Week 1 against the Chargers and the Giants allowed 361 passing yards last week. New York rank 4th last in the NFL for pass yards allowed and I expect Mahomes to torch them with the Chiefs desperate to avoid starting 0-3.
