The Foxes host Spurs on Monday, May 24 at 1:00am (all times AEST)

It all comes down to this, the final matchday of the season. In what has been a whirlwind of a campaign for each and every side, gameweek 38 will decide the final standings of the year, with two Champions League places up for grabs.

One of the three hopeful candidates for a top-four place are Leicester, who have been rueing their missed opportunities in the past few days after falling to fellow contenders Chelsea.

Their FA Cup glories have been a highlight of their rise to stardom over the past half-decade, but a place amongst the league’s elite to conclude their 2020/21 campaign will further add to their journey.

Currently placed outside of the top-four following Liverpool’s timely rise, the Foxes will need results to go their way to find themselves in Europe’s top continental competition next season.

Just placed behind the Reds on goal difference and a further point behind Chelsea, Leicester’s clash with Tottenham is sure to have a majority of fans tuned into the clash at the King Power.

Like the Foxes, Tottenham faced midweek misery in their loss to Aston Villa on Thursday, further denting their campaign as they now scrap for a top-six finish.

Mathematically, Spurs could drop as low as 10, but a fortunate trip to the Midlands in their final match of the season would see otherwise.

Both clubs have managed just one win in their past three league fixtures, and should results mirror that of their corresponding clash, the Foxes will come out on top.

A Jamie Vardy strike and a Toby Alderweireld own goal separated the two clubs back in December.

Vardy will be hoping to have his shooting boots laced this weekend, while his Spurs counterpart in Harry Kane will be looking to seal the Golden Boot Award and add to his 22 goals from this season.

Our Tip: Leicester Win @ $1.90

 Aston Villa vs Chelsea

The Blues will travel to the Midlands to face Aston Villa on Monday, May 24 at 1:00am.

In what will be the second of the three most anticipated matches of the week, Chelsea will be looking to secure points away from London in hope of cementing their top-four finish.

Plenty of the plaudits go to Thomas Tuchel, who has registered just two defeats at the helm of the Blues since taking over from Frank Lampard mid-season.

11 wins and five draws from his 18 games in charge has lifted the Londoners into the top echelon of the league, with a Champions League place now firmly in their sights.

The Blues will be able to double their revenge over Leicetser following last weekend’s FA Cup final defeat, sinking the Foxes midweek and potentially ending their UCL hopes with a win over Aston Villa.

Recent history suggests the Blues’ current run will continue into their final weekend of the season, with Chelsea’s last defeat to Aston Villa coming in March, 2014.

That period boasts six-straight wins, which was snapped by a 1-1 draw earlier this season as Olivier Giroud and Anwar El Ghazi split the goal scoring tally.

Fast forward to gameday 38 and the Blues are heavily favoured to collect all three points albeit away from Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa will have little to play for this weekend, as they are unable to rise or fall from their 11th-placed standing in the top-flight. However, Dean Smith’s men are sure to be ready to cause havoc for those near the summit.
